April 12, 2023 - Dense, hint of pine and smoke, red. Fruits. Palate is silky but decently structured, in a good spot. V nice and long finish

February 6, 2023 - Napa 2023: the quieter version; 2/6/2023-2/11/2023 (Napa/Sonoma California): My favorite of the flight. It’s also a more concentrated style of wine but now you start to get some of those gamey notes and a bit of the iron-ore in addition to all of the fruit. Very young and I’m inclined to think it’s best to still wait another 20 years on these but fun to get to check in on it.

December 25, 2021 - Had with Fred Donna Pam for Xmas. 2 hour decant and so lovely. Complex but approachable and super easy to drink. Couldn’t get enough

April 30, 2021 - 2h decant. Exquisite. Cherries, blackberries, plum, roasted meats, olive brine, and pepper. Tannins have seriously softened and blend harmoniously with the fruit and alcohol. The wine is drinking beautifully.

March 21, 2021 - Meetup at Eddie Ishaq's (Eddie's Crib): Wow. Yes. This out of the SQN and Cayuse showed the best but just by a nose.
Dark stewed black cherries, molasses, burnt caramel, autumn leaves and bloody steak on the nose.
Palate is completely in harmony and though at a whopping 15.8% on the bottle, there wasn't a rough edge in any sense of the words.
Long decadent finish that goes for 60 seconds. What a fantastic example of New World Syrah.
Sorry, I'd take Colgin (or Cayuse) over SQN most days of the week.
