June 7, 2021 - Double decanted. Needed about 4-6 hours of air to show its best. It was just tight. Lovely wine underneath, but it was blown away by the 2002 Rossignol Trapet Chambertin we had along side it.

November 29, 2020 - Tasted semi-blind. Significant air already. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose medium intensity, with aromas of earthy funk, touch of barnyard, dark red cherries, black cherries, floral violets, incense, fine spice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, smooth integrated medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of licorice, dark red cherries, black cherries, fine spice, earthy background. Long pleasing finish.
Very good quality. Ripe vintage obvious, but still maintains a certain regal elegance. I am undecided whether I would say better to drink now or age this more.

May 2, 2017 - Light carnet. Very light for a Clos de la Roche. Beautiful and open nose of leather, red fruit, strawberry, touch barnyard, really grand. Super elegant with good dry extract at the finish. Fabulous. 95+

May 28, 2015 - MASTER ESAGONALE FRANCIA; 1/14/2015-7/30/2015 (HOTEL WESTIN PALACE MILANO): Degustato alla cieca.
