Monday, December 5, 2011 - Very dark, opaq core with ruby-garnet hues at the rim. The nose is spectacular, so close to what I had in mind as aussie shiraz typicity but at the same time unique, with perfectly integrated volatile acidity, coffee, chocolate, blueberry cream, sultanas, eucalyptus and sweet oak. Full-bodied with very rich yet vibrant fruit, big but velvety tannins and balancing acidity. Very long, persistant aftertaste. Powerful and very rich but by no means over the top. Still quite primary but already enjoyable, will improve with prolonged cellaring. Glad to have one more bottle. A masterpiece in every sense of the word.
