Tuesday, October 30, 2012 - Flatters to deceive a touch. Very impressive on opening - hazelnuts, struck match and minerals but toned down to a whisper rather than a shout. Excellent nuance and balance in the mouth - very serene and discrete - these Grand Cru white burgs can be a bit full throttle for my liking, but this showed good balance with a delicate zest. After 30 minutes the wine just fizzled out a bit and lost definition - could do with a bit more structure for my liking. A good wine but probably not one for the long haul. I'd be tempted to start opening these now if I had a case in the cellar.
