Thursday, July 19, 2018 - Served blind. I couldn't pin this one down to save me. Wild, complex nose. Came off as mature with a maple sort of note. A whiff of wood. Big, juicy palate. Tannic grip and clean but then sort of a late bite on the back of the palate. Strong cherry note and sort of a background of reduction. This was quite enjoyable in the way some of the better wines from the southern parts of France and Italy can be. Where you're not sure what's in there but you are enjoying the ride.
