Tannic grip and clean but then sort of a late bite on the back of the palate. Strong cherry note and sort of a background of reduction. This was quite enjoyable in the way some of the better wines from the southern parts of France and Italy can be. Where you're not sure what's in there but you are enjoying the ride.
