Tuesday, September 13, 2022 - As a pop-and-pour this one took a little bit to grow on me.
Dark ruby color fading to just a little garnet on the rim with watery miniscus.
Nose had a barnyard note that blew off after a few minutes. Left more of a rich, almost syrupy cherry to raspberry with a little leather and funk. Hint of strawberry in there too.
Mostly more of the same on the palate with medium+ body and some light well-integrated tannins. Pretty short finish, a little more cough syrupy than I'd like - maybe a longer decant will help.

Day 2 edit: a fridge decant did some good. Less cloying/cough syrup, leaving a fruit-forward wine with a little complexity and some light tannins on the finish.
