Wednesday, September 14, 2022 - Still has a deep ruby hue, like most ‘12s’ I have tried. Certainly on the savoury edge with a nose that has minerality, a touch of black currant and a definite pencil note, comes through after a few hours. Has more layers on day 2 and works very well with a chicken a roast vegetable dish (the caramelised greens working brilliantly in tandem with the Lafon) I really enjoyed this, and it was a wine that you felt that was in an good place. It’s not one to worry about if you are drinking too young. Plus pretty good value all said. Enjoy with food!
