Monday, October 10, 2022 - Quite youthful. Had a nice brambly raspberry character to it. Poured a little rusty to the glass, medium bodied on both the po pour and the mouthfeel. Still lots of acidity. Letting the remaining 40% of the bottle sit for about 3 hours improved it tremendously. Went well with the saucier Italian foods which really helped to cut through the acidity. The homemade Italian sausage was almost the spirit animal of this wine. If you have these, I'd lay them down at least for the next 6 to 12 months but this wine has the structure to go another 10 years at least. This producer always makes rather solid wines that can hold for an insane amount of time. I have one more at home, four in storage. I think I'm going to keep those four there for a while.
