Friday, November 4, 2022 - This bottle was drinking very nicely and I agree with a lot of the recent notes here. That said, I drank it over two nights and night one was better! Wild strawberries, savory berries, bright, very Provençal, especially on the nose. The second night was fine, more suave, yet less interesting, and had I had THAT bottle the first night, I might rate it lower.
I’d also disagree that this is “excellent QPR”, at least in the Gigondas arena. Yeah, St Cosme is one of the main players but this bottle’s current vintage sells for $60-$70. There’s a LOT of dope Gigondas out there for half that money…
