Friday, November 25, 2022 - Tablas Creek can always be relied on for good wines of all varieties. This 2018 Tannât was hard and brutal on the first night but after 24 hours it really opened up. I am sure in another day it will be even better but we loved it tonight. Smoky camphor and rich blackberry fruit with hints of licorice. I would love to drink this in five years as I am sure it will be much better. I am rarely disappointed by Tablas Creek and this is another great example. I am a European wine drinker but this is one of the California wines that I appreciate and I don’t think they get their due because they are big.
