Wednesday, January 11, 2006 - Light brick red in color, cherries, earth, and warm spices (ginger, cinnamon, clove) on the nose. Cherries, very spicey, smoke, and a touch of toast on the palate, finishing with soft tannins and balancing acidity. Also very hot on the finish. Could probably use another year or so in the bottle, but no more than that.
