Wednesday, December 28, 2022 - Deep dark reddish-violet in color. Fragrant & attractive nose of dark fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & dried figs with overtones of spice, floral & earthy notes, minerals, dark chocolate, spices, tar, herbs & a touch of vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, very ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, cherries, figs & raisins with spices, bittersweet cocoa, herbs & minerals. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but may benefit from another year or two of further aging.
