Sunday, January 15, 2023 - If you looked up Margaux in a textbook, it should show this wine. An elegant, effusively floral and refined claret, with a very pretty core of currant, cherry, and red plum fruit. This is not a wine that wants to make a statement, but it manages to keep your attention with its subtle evolution and complexity. Very different than the Brane-Cantenac I had a few nights ago, but both are compelling wines.

5/23/2023 8:29:00 AM - I am looking to buy a few more '19 Margaux and these, plus Brane Cantenac are my 2 leading choices (with Labegorce my lesser rung candidate). Q: You say this differs substantially from the '19 BC. How? Yes, I have read your (and other peeps) notes on it. Style?Acidity? Longevity? BTW, your notes share great depth and insight; thanks.
