Saturday, September 3, 2022 - (Disgorged in November 2018, based on 2010 vintage, 100% Chardonnay from 50+ years old vines in Chouilly, dosage 1 gr/L, 1 994 bottles made)
Light yellow colour with a lovely nose showing incipient maturity with yellow apples, minerals and citrus flowers and opens up with buttered popcorn in a delicious way. Nice and smooth on the palate with a pleasant lemon acidity combined with a touch of fruity sweetness and a lovely saltiness showing as well on the intense finish. This is very good right now and has really opened up with the extra cellar time it has had.. but there’s no rush, this will definitely enter a new level within the next 5 or so years!
