Wednesday, March 29, 2023 - Final Raymond bottle sampled from the reserve collection. This time a Napa Red Blend.

On the nose, sour cherry, oak and leather. Initial sips were ripe cherry, tart blackcurrant and leather. This opened up in the glass slowly and had some plum and vanilla notes lingering after the first few sips. Nice finish of tart dark fruit and oak.

Med bodied, grippy tannins, med acidity and slightly sweet. This is more to my taste than the Cab Sauv. Smooth and well balanced with the right amount of sugar. Very nice one.
