Tuesday, April 25, 2023 - Decanted 4 hours by HMC prior to tonight's blind event. Deep opaque garnet in the glass to start with a nose of light sage and green herbs. I did not guess it was an Aussie Shiraz but toward the end of the night this became more evident to me. The color also shifted in the glass and set itself apart from the others as it moved from garnet to more of an odd grayish brown which I don't think I've ever seen a wine do. What was special early on to me about this wine was how it flowed from front to back. It was 'full' and rather seamless from start to finish with everything matched up on the same level. Very balanced. 91 to start, finished at 92 for me.
