Sunday, April 30, 2023 - Ruby red with orange tinged rim, transparent, slight haze. Somewhat subdued nose of cranberry, blood plum, butcher's cut, red earth, herbes de Provence, hint of vanilla. Later, there is an obvious VA lift, and the juiciness of the red fruits is heightened. Vibrant acid, cranberry, pomegranate, cherries, blood plum, hint of bitter amaro and herbs, espresso coffee finish. Slightly green, sappy tannins - cold vintage. Medium palate weight, nice texture slightly marred by sappy tannins, well balanced. Enjoyable.
