  • Ruby red with orange tinged rim, transparent, slight haze. Somewhat subdued nose of cranberry, blood plum, butcher's cut, red earth, herbes de Provence, hint of vanilla. Later, there is an obvious VA lift, and the juiciness of the red fruits is heightened. Vibrant acid, cranberry, pomegranate, cherries, blood plum, hint of bitter amaro and herbs, espresso coffee finish. Slightly green, sappy tannins - cold vintage. Medium palate weight, nice texture slightly marred by sappy tannins, well balanced. Enjoyable.

  • Initially quite herbal, very defined ripe fruit bit not jammy. Not overdone; a little tight but cool and fresh and showing good potential, all is in balance, nothing is extreme here. Herbal finish. Good restrained touch here.

  • A little closed on the nose and start to open up in 45min. Some red fruits of pomegranate, perfumed red roses, toast and pungent spices. There’s some warming alcohol in the chest which could be driven by Grenache. A little savoury notes at the finish. Very good wine.

  • A little closed on the nose, not giving much away. Some classy fruit hinted at; nice fruit quality and texture on the palate, red and dark berries and spice with a nice freshness running through things. A little grip on the finish, this would be a nice choice for drinking now with some grilled meat.
