Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - TWS North London - Volcanic Wines (Must & Lees, N1): Knockout: very herbal, floral on the nose: bergamot, violets, raspberry and cranberry. Quite joyful - it has a core of richness but is also light and transparent. Nice concentration and a touch of sweetness on the palate. Really lovely and does the Etna 'thing' very convincingly- it lives in the universe of Pinot but it's not trying to be anything other than what it is, and it's all the better for it. Plus there's a picture of a volcano on the label, which is worth at least a point.
