Thursday, May 25, 2023 - Nose was rather restrained but had cassis, blackberry jam, pencil shavings, green pepper. The palate was also restrained with cool lifted black fruit on the midpalate and then appropriate acid and fine tannin on the finish with great tension. Such a quality and well done bdx blend that to me straddled the line between the old and the new world. This was still too young and probably requires another 5-7 years to come into balance and develop more complexity.
