Thursday, June 1, 2023 - Flighted with an excellent 1971 Accemento Barolo. Splash decanted for sediment @ 5:00 served @ 8:00. Cork solid, first sniff was filled with chocolate with hints of tar and leather. Bright mature mahogany core with lightening rim, lots of sediment. Took a quick sip for soundness at 6:00 and back on the bottle. This was a good, not great bottle of mature Barolo especially against a remarkably good bottle of 1971 Accemento, which drank fresher and younger.
