  • Flighted with an excellent 1971 Accemento Barolo. Splash decanted for sediment @ 5:00 served @ 8:00. Cork solid, first sniff was filled with chocolate with hints of tar and leather. Bright mature mahogany core with lightening rim, lots of sediment. Took a quick sip for soundness at 6:00 and back on the bottle. This was a good, not great bottle of mature Barolo especially against a remarkably good bottle of 1971 Accemento, which drank fresher and younger.

  • Renk kahverengi röfleli lal.Kuru gül, kurutulmuş yabani mantar ,toprak, kan, çemen ,is ,katran, harnup pekmezi ,baharat ilk kaydedilen bukeler.

  • Best Bottle dinner at my place. From half-bottle. We drank this Paolo Scavino Barolo Bric del Fiasc 1985 after a bottle of Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Santo Stefano 1999 and a bottle of Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Santo Stefano Riserva 1998. The wine was light garnet, almost light orange in colour and threw a lot of sediment. It offered a great, complex, fascinating nose of dried flowers, fermented cherries, oranges, caramel, milk chocolate, peanuts, wet autumn leaves and lactic notes. On the developed palate the wine showed cherries, oranges, Mon Chéri, caramel, chocolate, peanuts, tea, liquorice, mushroom and rancio notes, paired with high acidity, high, well-integrated, slightly drying tannin and very good length. The light- to medium-bodied wine drank very well. Almost 30 years old and still holding-up well! My third half-bottle in about five years, the first in early 2010 showed well, the second in 2011 was oxidized, and this third bottle now showed best. Simply amazing!

  • This one came up a little short. Pale, light orange edges, slightly herbal and woodsy, the fruit has pretty much disappeared in this bottle, and it is a little thin. The bottle is in no way gone and I have had very good luck with Scavino from this period so I wouldn't say other bottles will taste like this, which is to say proper but not exciting.
