Friday, June 16, 2023 - Prior bottle was almost exactly a year ago and this wine remains in a very good spot, having held up quite well. Red cherry, earth and spices on a very classic nose. Close to medium bodied with dark red cherry, red berries and some black cherry hints in the background. Tart red cherry, fine grained tannins and minerals on the back and through the finish. Some of the blackfruit notes were more highlights in this bottle as opposed to the last one as the wine is clearly trending in a red cherry-focused direction. That said, complexity remains good and the wine is still drinking quite well. I'd drink over the next 18-24 months to enjoy this wine in its current, high stage.
