Friday, June 23, 2023 - Champagne appreciation - Louis Roederer: fresh strawberries and raspberries lead the bouquet, enhanced by roses, hay, and whiffs of pastry. and fresh, not-quite-ripe strawberries is where it starts in the mouth with a ringing acidity and dryness. slightly sweet brioche notes develop mid palate, broadening the texture and interplaying with blood orange and hay flavours. long finish that turns saline.

accessible and well-balanced at the moment, it could yet improve some more.

dosed at 8 g/L; blend of 62% Pinot Noir/ 38% Chard.
