Blood orange, lemon peel, limestone on the nose. Medium + intensity of aromas. The palate adds ripe strawberries, cream ripe yellow peach, sesame seed, and fresh nuts. Texturally smooth and rounded. Well balanced with a high intensity of flavors. nice finish that lasts about 25 seconds.
Medium body with great zippy medium + acid. Intense mousse that lingers. Really delicious, especially for "big house" Champagne. Developing. Will continue to improve in the bottle for 3-5 more years.

Pale pink salmon in color & a steady mousse. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of strawberries, raspberries & citrus notes with lovely floral & yeasty notes, stony & minerals undertones in the background. Medium light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of sweet strawberries, raspberries and citrus with some yeastiness, spices & minerals. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present but it may develop further with additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (93+).

Light salmon in color, the 2016 iteration of Roederer's Vintage Brut Rosé (a blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay) is aromatically effusive of red currants, tangerines, clementines, cardamom and brioche. Medium-bodied and with a brisk tiny bead, it delivers comparable flavors, adding a small dollop of wood and notes of saline. Energetic and dense in the middle, it moves on to a lengthy, mineral-laden finish. Enjoy this delicious pink sparkler on any occasion throughout the remainder of this decade. Drink now-2030.

Not bad. But food oriented. A little flat, a little lemonadeish without the sugar. The rose aspect seemed lika an add on. Perhaps improves with age. The ingredients seem to keep high quality...

Nice pale pink glass of wine with a delicate bubble. A tiny hint of sweet strawberries in the nose, some yeast tones with something sweet. The taste is great with some fruitiness and yeast flavors. The aftertaste is rich in acidity which gives an indication of the aging potential. This wine is now already a joy to drink but will get better.

Louis Roederer tasting (Point Hotel, Athens): 70% pinot noir 30% chardonnay The wine shows ripe strawberry, cherry, currant, there is a certain platic/veggie note (could be from the glass though), a few toasty notes Palate is much smoother, ripe fruit, nutty, a lot more layered and structured, cherry, currant, med body, nice carbonation, smooth, nice tasty long finish

Champagne appreciation - Louis Roederer: fresh strawberries and raspberries lead the bouquet, enhanced by roses, hay, and whiffs of pastry. and fresh, not-quite-ripe strawberries is where it starts in the mouth with a ringing acidity and dryness. slightly sweet brioche notes develop mid palate, broadening the texture and interplaying with blood orange and hay flavours. long finish that turns saline.
accessible and well-balanced at the moment, it could yet improve some more.
dosed at 8 g/L; blend of 62% Pinot Noir/ 38% Chard.

On the palate are gentle soft red fruits mixed with some yellow fruits that gives an impression of pink fruits, bitter minerals, pleasantly bitter hay. The flavors of hay have a much stronger bitterness but somehow doesn't detract from the tastiness of it all.

Lay & Wheeler Summer tasting: Deep, bassy nose. Strawberry, raspberry and white blossom top notes. Sweet - almost off-dry on the palate and I found it rather cloying. You'd need to match this to food carefully to play off its rather distinct character.

The Art of Consistency as evidenced vintage after vintage by Roederer, here is for #champagne2023, now bottle #18, & the striking Rosé in the 16 vintage (62/38, PN/CH). Yes, a price increase, yet still among the most solid rosé champagnes out there. Salmon, fine & relaxed pearlage in appearance. Snapping nose w scents of fresh blood orange, strawberries & raspberries, melon, grapefruit, hints of brioche. Super-fresh medium-bodied palate, vivid acidic structure, blood orange-dominated w a grippy-dryish finish. Bang!

Tasting a few Louis Roederer champagnes (K&L Wine Merchant - Redwood City): Light aromas of stiff, unripened strawberries (the type that unfortunately never gets ripe and stays permanently white and pink), a really subtle honey note and some minerals.
On the palate are gentle soft red fruits mixed with some yellow fruits that gives an impression of pink fruits, bitter minerals, pleasantly bitter hay. The flavors of hay have a much stronger bitterness but somehow doesn't detract from the tastiness of it all.
