Sunday, October 1, 2023 - First of my '20 stash of Pesenti, even though I had one '19 left in the cellar, I felt like I needed to try one of these.....the nose at the pnp is quite expressive and classic Pesenti. Riveting fruit and energy.

Palate is again, all Pesenti. Dark red/black, spicy zin fruit bursting with acidity and energy. Integrated and balanced and lively, to say the least. Very tempted to give this one a 94 but I'll hold back for now and assess the rest of the bottles down the road. Pesenti fans will not be disappointed with this vintage. Zin is not about depth or layers or complexities. It's about fruit, and spice, and energy. This is a beautiful entry.

addendum: kept a small glass open to air for about 4 hours and it did retreat a bit and mute on both nose and palate, so great from the pnp and for about 2-3 hours right now.
