Sunday, October 15, 2023 - The Nardi family has been designing utility architecture for agriculture since the 19th century. In 1950, Silvio Nardi bought a small estate, Casale del Bosco, in Montalcino, Tuscany, and began producing wine.
After some time, he bought two additional plots of land and now his daughter produces three different Brunellos. They all score high.
But how about this 48 year old juice? I didn't have too much expectations. Matter of fact I prepared "spare" wine just in case this wine was undrinkable.
Well...
The wine is simple, but delicious. Smell - red cherry, milk chocolate, tobacco. Taste - red cherry, milk chocolate, herbs.
Pretty long finish with red cherry, cranberry, red currant. No spice, no tannins, high acidity ( but not out of balance! thanks to 12.5 ABV?).
The wine is very juicy, smooth, and easy on the tongue.
Even my wife said it's okay 🙂
