Wednesday, June 10, 2009 - OK - almost 18 months have passed and I can now say this is drinking real nice now. I did a PNP and will have this over three nights. First the nose was intoxicating. It was worth opening the bottle by itself. The first taste was nice but it did need some time in the glass to open up and dissipate the heat a bit. It was dark fruit, coffee and still a good bit of oak. This can still go out a few years but is enjoyable now. Day 1 was good, lets see if it's better tonight. Looking forward to sharing this with others later and watching it over a few years.

Day 2 - Had to go and check - aged for 19 months in New French oak - OK I think they could have done well with about 12 months of oak. It's what I get on the nose and taste. Having said that it was still very nice and enjoyable. Lets see how day 3 goes.

Day3 - seemed to fade a bit but still nice.
