Wednesday, November 29, 2023 - Nick's Burgundy evening at 64 Goodge Street: Darker and definitely more doughy than the Bouchard served alongside. This too has plenty of life-affirming spritz, but very much dialled down in comparison. It is very delicious indeed, ripe apples, a citrus component - lemon and the sourness of lime. Great acidity here that goes on for a good while. It struck me as being a bit beyond ideal freshness, zing and verve quickly giving way to more advanced flavours, but this takes nothing away from a splendid bottle that I enjoyed tasting.
