Consumed over the course of dinner out. Medium intensity on the nose. Apples, orchard fruits, loquat and bakery aromas. Good acidity and lovely mouthfeel and a medium plus finish. If you have a few bottles drink one now. You’ll thank yourself.

Wonderful and on point, delicious with homemade fried chicken. Round and refreshing, beautiful maturity developing, hints of youthful exuberance quite refined.

Nick's Burgundy evening at 64 Goodge Street: Darker and definitely more doughy than the Bouchard served alongside. This too has plenty of life-affirming spritz, but very much dialled down in comparison. It is very delicious indeed, ripe apples, a citrus component - lemon and the sourness of lime. Great acidity here that goes on for a good while. It struck me as being a bit beyond ideal freshness, zing and verve quickly giving way to more advanced flavours, but this takes nothing away from a splendid bottle that I enjoyed tasting.

Nick A's 64 Goodge Street Burgundy Dinner (64 Goodge Street, London): Like its flightmate this takes a little while to get going, initially lean and grippy; with some air there's a Grape Nutty character. Palate is mouthcoating and laced with confit lemon. After 20 mins in the glass there are some hints of pea shoot and a few Biscoff crumbs.

Another excellent bottle of this. Beautifully aged, but still fresh and vibrant, it is medium golden color. Showing notes of orchard fruit, some ripe pear, also some chalky mineral notes, citrus, a touch of nutty notes too, honey, brioche, but overall not very tertiary. It‘s medium-full bodied, with excellent mid-palate persistence, there is some almost creamy mousse, but more vinous in style, it‘s showing racy acidity and a long finish with just a touch of bitterness. A great CdC that is drinking perfectly now. I wouldn‘t push my luck and drink my remaining bottles over the next 5 years or so, it‘s really singing now.
