Sunday, December 3, 2023 - 3rd of 8. 14% abv. The nose is lovely on this - quite floral, with rich anise. On the palate, for the first 2 hours, the wine drank easily, with fresh fruit and mild tannins (for Barolo) - everything nicely in balance, but with a fairly quick finish. As the night went on, the tannins started to show themselves, lengthening the finish, but in a drying way. There is lovely fresh fruit, and great purity to this wine though. I am happy to have 5 more and I think these will drink beautifully over the next decade+. It's great with food.
