Monday, June 15, 2009 - Pleasantly surprised....excellent-outstanding. Still very fresh. Light bricking near the edges in addition to a clear rim, a little bit of cigar and smoke on the nose. Decanted, plenty of sediment. Palate is medium bodied and extremely smooth...most of the tannin has subsided, still a decent amount of cassis and dark fruit on the palate, as well as a touch of oak. Elegant, but still some depth. Exceeded expectations.
