Monday, December 25, 2023 - Christmas eve pairing with a beef stew. I bought this a few years ago out of curiosity (the DRC situation) and the decent reviews here, especially for a 2004. It was a good bet. Deep aromas and a nice, lengthy finish - it developed some subtle complexities over the evening. My hunch is that this is at peak. The 2006 was better but this was pretty compelling.
