Tuesday, January 9, 2024 - We had a pre-arranged tasting at the winery; and this was the most lovingly arranged and meticulously cared for tasting during our two days in rutherglen. we also had the opportunity to speak to the current cellar master, Ian who gave us ample of his time and answered any questions we had. Really fantastic tasting and we can only commend this winery and its staff for the warm welcome and attention we received there. Bravo! And Thanks a lot!
Also, on the whole we found the fortified wines we tasted there to be the most elegant ones we had during those two days.
Again: Kudos to the winery and its team!
color orange: reddish brown; muscat and apricot on the nose. Lovely smell and taste. The grape just "jumped" out of the glass and the wine left a searing impression on the palate. Intense and elegant!
