Tuesday, January 16, 2024 - Medium deep garnet.
Aromas of cassis, blackberry, heather, thyme, coffee bean and singed wood.
Vital finely grained tannins. Cherry acids and chocolate bitterness.
Palate of blackcurrant jam, black raspberry, chocolate, roasted hazelnut, fudge and serrano ham. Medium body.
A fresh, vivacious and rather elegant wine with lively yet complex fruit, structured acids and a fairly long oaky finish.
Tasted alongside Bosquet des Papes, Cuveé Tradition 2000 and the present wine has generous fruit, toasty oak but lacks in depth and minerality.
