Tasted alongside Guigal, La Mouline 1994 and the present wine is more mature, slender and elegant but not as powerful and grand as the matched wine.

Amber. Aromas of lemongrass, diesel, apricot, thyme and cider. Midweight and dry mouthfeel. High-pitched apple acids and lovely grapefruit bitterness. Palate of apricot pit, candied orange, acacia blossom and flint. A slightly mature, complex and vivacious wine with yellow ripe fruit, young slightly bitter acidity and an elegant perfume finish. Drink within 10-15 years. Tasted alongside Keller Von der Fels Riesling Rheinhessen 2021 and the present wine is generous and complex and has more petrol notes, but not as pure acidity as the matched wine.

Palate of cider, grapefruit, apricot, acacia blossom, peach stone and flint. A fruit-driven and perfumed wine with pure yellow stone fruit, flowery aromas and a finish with perfectly pitched acidity. Drink within 4-6 years. Tasted alongside Gustave Lorentz, Riesling, Altenberg, Vielles vignes, 2017 and the matched wine is generous and complex and has more petrol notes, but not as pure acidity.
