Friday, January 19, 2024 - wine night @ uncle victor’s! …in a cab fwd line up alongside dunn’s ‘03 howell mountain and the ‘03 solaia, this was the most subtle, particularly on the nose. lots of air and time in glass coaxes out some dark berry and currant fruit. quite dusty, earthy, definitely fully mature. there’s fruit to be found but the palate is more savoury, very refined. gripping tannins initially that recede with time. this wine will grow on you, i promise.
