Sunday, February 4, 2024 - The Halley's Comet bottle. A really nice Lafitte. Readily accessible aromas of cherries and red berries follow through on the palate. Luxuriously smooth, open knit, voluptuous with a base of ripe tannin spices. There’s a beautiful sweetness and a nice tart edge that lifts the wine on the beguiling finish. This reminds me of a great California Cabernet from the classic 1980s period. A sexy Lafitte. Drink now - 2030.
