Tuesday, February 6, 2024 - Open 3 hours prior tasting. Pale clear ruby: thought much brilliant and intense. On the nose graphite, toasted wood, acid red fruit, balsamic (maritime pine, a surely territorial characteristic) and some burst sugar. Complex but, for me, not that emotional; great nose - mouthfeel correspondence. Low tannins quite balance acidity. I guess more on the “here and now” status than for long ageing. The impression is that something is missing. I do prefer Serre Nuove much more.
