Friday, March 1, 2024 - Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Same color saturation as the 2017. Only slightly larger scaled than that wine. Riper red fruit, more sappiness, but still medium weight at most. The beacon of red fruit is complemented by citrus and a deep core of earth, then it finishes with drier, slightly grainy tannin. Also lovely and prototypical of the domain even in a warmer vintage. I would bury this for at least 6-8 years to let it soften the sharper edges.
