Wednesday, March 13, 2024 - PnP. Given its leanness and high acidity, I poured into a decanter without agitating and enjoyed over ~4 hours. At first, it was lean with sour cherry notes and little else. By the end of the evening the wine had put on weight and depth, showing its mineral side and darker fruits. This certainly evolved into a beauty and given how much life was left in this bottle (not yet at peak), and I plan on waiting 5 years to open another in the hope of seeing the tertiary characteristics of this riserva Brunello.
