Friday, March 15, 2024 - Rene Engel Dinner (Benoit Bistro, Manhattan): Incredible clarity and bottle condition. The more I reflect the more I think that this could have been WOTN. The tannin was resolved and integrated, the fruit and acid were in perfect harmony. Real class and elegance here - almost seems less extracted than other vintages although I am not sure that is true. Color was noticiably different and less brooding than the other bottles of Vougeot.
