Wednesday, March 27, 2024 - South Africa WIMPS #175 27th March 2024 (La Trompette, Chiswick): Double decanted 7 hours before drinking. Very dark fruited, cassis and blackcurrant fruit pastille. Powdery tannins. With air some touches of dark milk chocolate. Some hints of chestnut and a little soy character. As it warms in the glass the 14.5% alcohol makes its presence felt. Will be interesting sample another bottle on its 15th birthday.
