Friday, April 5, 2024 - Another Wine gathering at RJ’s; 4/4/2024-4/7/2024 (Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina): Very PYCM nose displaying concentrated ripe yellow fruit, apple pie, lemon curd, butter scotch, vanilla/oak, sweet spices and limestone mineral. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of concentrated sweet yellow fruit, dense, rich and deeply toned but also very precise and focused, bright acidity, strong mineral, and a long rich yellow fruit driven finish with a hint of matchstick at the end. This strongly expresses the PYCM style, i.e. generous fruit and very reductive. Although drinking incredibly well, I doubt this will benefit from further cellaring.
