Sunday, July 26, 2009 - 2009 International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) Passport to Pinot (McMinnville, OR): Kind of funky, swampy situation going on on the nose; nice though. Funky raspberries, almost like a twizzler thing mixed in with all that funk, which makes it quite interesting. Slightly bitter on the palate but very balanced. Definitely some of the swamp and earth. Initially shut down on the finish, but then a surprising explosion of some brighter fruit as it goes on. Really balanced. I dig it. Nice finish.
