Saturday, October 24, 2009 - Great syrah and a wonderful contrast to those of Sonoma and Napa. Dark ruby in color, but not inky. Less dry and mineral laden than other big California syrahs, it displays a very fleshy nose and palate. Wonderful violet, bacon, cedar and berries. Very slightly sweet tannins. This one should put Carmel Valley on everyone's list to visit and taste!!!
