Saturday, November 14, 2009 - Brunello 2004 Tasting (HSH): Great and intense nose with very nice and pure notes of elegant cherries. Also has a little touch of sewer and buttermilk with a little toastyness to it.
A very intense and almost crazy acidity presents itself very nicely on the palate together with nice and intense cherry fruit. A lot of different spices and it presents itself very "juicy".
I did however feel that it lacked a little bit of tannin to achieve the overall balance but without a doubt a a very nice wine currently.
Very impressive intensity.
