Monday, April 3, 2006 - Solid purple. Immediate aromas of sweet berries, cedar, and earth filled the glass. Very pretty. The palate was silky smooth with pleasant tannic backbone. Sweet cassis, wood, graphite all there in abundance. Moderately long finish. Drank in combination with the '02. This was much more expressive and smooth without the slight bitterness at the end. A very nice surprise.
