Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - color: light purple, red opal; nose: not much - faint blackberry and even less oak; taste: thin mouth feel, red berries, tasty but chalky dry finish of short-to-medium duration, with slightly puckery tannins that reminded me of sucking on a Sweet Tart; overall: OK lower-alcohol, rustic weekday wine that probably benefits from pairing with food (maybe a simply-roasted chicken?) rather than drinking on its own, decent QPR (Morris Miller's sale price was $8) but for me the style doesn't bring the thunder and I wouldn't buy it again -- for the same price, I far prefer the Goats do Roam red blend.
