Friday, June 11, 2010 - Decanted 45 minutes, served at 17C. Ruby red with some bricking at rim. This was this wine's best showing yet. Expressive, if monolithic bouquet of macerated cherries. A definite sweetness to the bouquet. Round, supple attack with a broad layer of glycerol infused cherries. Tannins are very fine, giving a slightly drying final without the astringence I've noted before with this wine. Moderate to long final and very food friendly...surprised this stood up to a mild Thai curry and complemented it very well. Shame I have only one more of these - think I may have drank the others too early.
